 Let's observe the Lyrids meteor shower



This is the best meteor shower to be seen after 4 months after January. At its peak, about 20 meteors can be seen per hour.


 The peak intensity usually occurs on or around April 23. The emission point of this meteor shower is located near the star Vega in the constellation Lyra.


 This meteor shower is caused by dust from the comet C/1861G1, which has a period of 415 years. This meteor shower is considered the oldest meteor shower observed by humans. 


Written evidence has been found that this meteor shower was observed in 687 BC.
